Steven H. Bontempi is a financial planner with New England Securities and founder of Strategic Financial Services, an insurance and financial group based in Atlanta, Georgia. His knowledge and experience span a wide range of financial products and services focusing on the accumulation and preservation of assets and wealth. He is recognized nationally as a financial resource to businesses and individuals.

A professional with an extensive wealth of experience, Mr. Bontempi has distinguished himself nationally as a popular lecturer on various issues such as estate planning, wealth preservation, risk management, retirement planning and strategic financial planning. He is also an instructor in the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ Program at Oglethorpe University in Atlanta, Georgia teaching the subjects of CFP® Fundamentals, Estate Planning, Income Taxation, Retirement Planning, Investments and Risk Management and Insurance. He also teaches courses in the Georgia University System in the subjects of Constitutional Law and Taxation of Business Entities.

A graduate of the Universityof Hartford, Mr. Bontempi earned his Juris Doctor (J.D.) from Seton Hall University School of Law and studied for his Master of Laws in Taxation (LL.M.) at CaseWestern Reserve University. In addition to membership in the Atlanta Bar Association, he has passed the bar examination in several states. Mr. Bontempi has also earned the Certificate in Retirement Planning from the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania.

After practicing law as a sole practitioner, Mr. Bontempi redirected his career with The Ayco Company L.P. as an attorney providing objective financial counseling, tax and investment advice for corporate employees and individuals. From there, Mr. Bontempi was named Vice President and Director of National City Corporation’s Corporate Executive Services division providing financial planning and wealth management strategies to high net worth corporate executives. His tenure with National Citylasted until his decision to join AXA Advisors, LLC in 2001.

Steven and his team of professionals have been working with his clients at Strategic Financial Services since 2009. In his role as a credentialed Financial Planner with New England Securities, his education and experience have given him a rich perspective from which to help his clients work toward building their financial goals.

Steven, his wife Vanessa and children Mia, Hayden, Sabrina and Wyatt reside in Powder Springs, Georgia. They are actively involved with church, youth and civic activities in the local community. Mr. Bontempi is also a musician holding principal positions with the Cobb Wind Symphony and the Zephyr Brass Quintet.
